Hayes School is located in southeast London and has 1750 students aged 11 to 18. We have an excellent reputation for music education, and our band and choir have toured throughout Europe. Many students graduate with music degrees and pursue music careers. Our repertoire includes film soundtracks, songs from musicals, pop, rock, and jazz. We love introducing our music to new audiences and performing in new venues. On our Netherlands tour this year, accompanied by Ms. Jane Werry, we are delighted to be able to captivate our audience at the Pieterskerk on Tuesday 7th of April.

Repertoire-wise, we will be singing lot of Disney songs (from Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid and more), and the band will be playing tunes from Mulan and Hairspray.

At Hayes, we want every student to know the power of music: to experience music ‘from the inside’ as performers and creators, and to understand how music fits into the world at large. We aim to give students the knowledge and skills they need for music to play a positive part in the rest of their lives, whether this involves performing, creating, or appreciating. Some of our students have gone on to be professional performers and composers; however, all Hayes students gain an appreciation of how music works, its power and place in everyday life, and how music fits into the world.
